 UAE urges Iraq to prevent hostile acts from its territory

 
ABOU DHABI, 21 May. - (ANA) - The ​UAE ⁠has urged Iraq ​to prevent ⁠hostile acts originating from its territory, ⁠days after ​a ⁠drone ‌attack on ​Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
 
In a statement, the ministry "stressed the necessity for the government of the Republic of Iraq to immediately and unconditionally prevent all hostile acts emanating from its territory and to address these threats urgently, promptly and responsibly, in accordance with relevant international and regional laws and conventions".
 
It also stressed the importance of Iraq playing its role in consolidating security and stability in the region, in a way that preserves its sovereignty and enhances its position as an active and responsible partner in its regional environment.
 
The UAE Defence Ministry said on Tuesday ​that ‌the drone, which caused ​a fire ​at ‌the ⁠nuclear plant ⁠on Sunday, had been launched from Iraq. - (ANA) -
