Five dead as Houthis strike Aden presidential palace housing Saudi coalition

ADEN. YEMEN, 16 Oct. - (ANA) - The death toll from an attack by Yemen's Houthi rebels on the presidential palace in the southern city of Aden has risen to five, with 16 injured, Yemen's Health Ministry says.

The government instructed military and security authorities to take the necessary measures to "protect state institutions, confront terrorist threats and respond appropriately to the sources of those threats".

It was the first strike on Aden's Al Maashiq Palace, the seat of Yemen's Saudi-backed and internationally recognised government, during the current conflict between the Iran-backed Houthis and Saudi Arabia.

Aden will remain centre of government operations despite attack, says official.  - (ANA) -
